The future of driving is electric.

There are endless benefits to choosing a Vauxhall electric vehicle from Cresser.

Plenty of tax savings

Because Road Tax is emissions-based, you'll pay absolutely nothing when driving an all-electric Vauxhall. Especially if your electric car is an SUV like the Mokka-e, this could save you a lot of money!

There are more tax savings than just Road Tax, though. Conventional fuel like petrol and diesel is taxed at the usual VAT rate of 20%, whereas the electricity you'll be charging your car with is taxed at just 5% - not to mention it's much cheaper in the first place!

More charging points than ever before

There are now nearly as many electric charging points for our car as petrol stations - and there are more springing up around the country all the time. Plus, with your purchase of an electric Vauxhall, you'll get a free six month subscription to the BP Pulse charging network.

Some workplaces are eligible for a government grant towards off-street charging points, with £350 available per socket.

No clean air or congestion charges

Since Vauxhall's fully electric vehicles emit none of the gases that contribute towards climate change, you'll be charged absolutely nothing to enter any clean air or congestion zones until at least 2025.

Plus, check with your local council for any other schemes they may have for electric car owners. Many offer free parking permits, free charging or even use of bus lanes.

Government grant of up to £6,000

The government plans to phase out the use of petrol and diesel cars, and they'll no longer be available to purchase new after 2030.

Therefore, as an incentive to make the switch to electric, you could be eligible for a £2,500 grant for an all-electric car, or a £6,000 grant for an all-electric van.

Your friendly Cresser team will be happy to discuss the grant to see how it could make an electric vehicle more affordable for you. It's available to use on top of any existing offers, and we'll even handle all the paperwork for you!

Electric cars are cheap to run

As petrol and diesel are much more expensive than electricity, you might be a bit shocked initally at how little you spend to use your car. At Cresser, we'll be happy to have a chat with you about the savings you could make with an electric car.

As an example, the petrol Corsa would cost you 10p for every mile travelled, whereas the Corsa-e would cost just 3p per mile. You can also look out for off-peak electricity tarriffs and charge your car overnight to save even more money.

You'll also find that you spend much less on maintenance and repairs. This is because electric cars have much less moving parts than other cars, so they're quite a bit more reliable.
